Large statement pieces verses a gallery wall
Large statement piece verses a gallery wall, in my opinion!
Large statement pieces can have real wow factor and set the tone and mood for the spaces they inhabit. A downside I feel to buying a large statement piece is it’s pure size. They are often more expensive, difficult to move, and risky to deliver. If you are buying a piece like this online it may not be quite what you expect when you get it into your home. Another problem can be when you want to change the feel of a room, you can either move the large piece elsewhere, try to store it or maybe you will want to sell it.
A gallery wall can add real interest to your space. Made up of smaller artworks your gallery can be varied or uniform. Different styles of art along with different frames or similar styles of art with similar frames, these can often be a bit cheaper and easier to acquire. Should you want to change one out, not a big problem. A downside to the gallery wall look is that it can seem a bit cluttered and you may have more holes in the wall to patch if you remove the pieces.
Conclusion, both have their place in a room it depends of course with what you are trying to achieve. I hope that sharing with you my viewpoint will give you something to consider when decorating your home with art.
